On Boxing Day (Dec. 26), the museum is open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

On all other public holidays, regular opening hours apply.

Yes. Fotomuseum Hilversum is accessible with a wheelchair, walker, or stroller. The building has two elevators. A wheelchair is available to borrow in the museum, and there is an accessible toilet. On the ground floor, you can ring the bell, and you will be picked up and personally guided to the museum desk.

Visitors who cannot move independently through the museum may bring a companion free of charge.

We have a museum cafe where you can order coffee, tea, soft drinks, beer, and wine. However, we do not serve food in the museum. The museum is located in the center of Hilversum, within walking distance of local restaurants and cafés.

Eating and drinking in the exhibition spaces is not allowed. Outside food is also not permitted in the museum.

Yes. With a Museum Pass, you get free entry to Fotomuseum Hilversum. It is also possible to purchase a new Museumkaart at the ticket desk.

It is not yet possible to purchase a ticket before your visit. You can do this at the museum’s ticket desk. We are working on making this option available soon.

Yes. The museum is a 10-minute walk from Hilversum NS train station. It is easily accessible from cities such as Utrecht, Amsterdam, Almere, and Amersfoort.

You can rent an OV bike at the station.

The museum is also accessible by bus. For this, you can get off right in front of the museum at one of the following stops:

Yes. You can park your car in the De Gooische Brink parking garage (paid). From the garage, you arrive directly at the Kerkbrink, right in front of the museum. We do not have our own parking lot.

Fotomuseum Hilversum is located at Kerkbrink 6, 1211 BX in Hilversum.

We have coat racks for jackets (unsupervised). Valuable items, backpacks, and large bags can be left at the front desk for safekeeping. We do not have lockers.

Yes, photography is allowed. Flash and/or the use of a tripod is not permitted.

No, it is not allowed to bring pets, including when they're carried in a bag. Exceptions are made for guide dogs and service dogs.
