Fotomuseum Hilversum applies the Ethical Code for Museums. This code is the foundation of professional ethics within the museum sector in The Netherlands. It provides a framework for professional self-regulation in a number of areas in which the museum holds specific expertise and responsibility. The code sets minimum standards for the conduct and professional level of museum staff, and it also outlines what the public may reasonably expect from the museum field.
