On Saturday, October 24, Wineke Gartz will give a talk at Fotomuseum Hilversum in conjunction with her solo exhibition, Mother Song II. This site-specific installation is a spiritual work exploring action, stillness, and movement. It centers on activism, but focuses primarily on the inner conflicts people experience during times of war and resistance. Gartz combines her parents' protest archive with recent protests, such as the Feminist March in Amsterdam.
